Suggestions for a Longer Lasting Perfume

The reasons why perfume smells different on everyone are also the factors that affect the permanence of the perfume. In addition to these;

  • As the ratio of dense molecular raw materials in the essence formulation increases, permanence increases. (Amber, oud, wood notes, musk, moss, resin, balsam, notes, etc.)
  • Perfume design is a delicate balance between the harmony, aesthetics, character and permanence of the scent.
    Therefore, a scent with a fresher and cleaner character may last less than a spicy, warm scent.
    The most important thing is for a person to choose a perfume that suits their taste and is compatible with it.
  • Perfume longevity varies depending on the density of the essence used in the perfume. The names of the products we generally call 'perfume' actually differ according to the usage rate of the essence used in them. As the essence rate increases, permanence increases in parallel.

PERFUME – essence density between 20 and 30%

EAU DE PARFUM - Essence density in EDPs is between 15 and 20%

EAU DE TOILETTE - EDT essence concentration between 5 and 15%

EAU DE COLOGNE - EDCs essence concentration between 2 and 4%

EAU FRAICHE - essence concentration varies between 1 and 3%.

  • Whether the pores on the skin are open or closed is also an important factor in terms of permanence. Spraying perfume on the skin immediately after a shower ensures longer-lasting scent spread. Because a body that has regained its moisture retains scent molecules better.

  • The humidity rate in the air is also a condition that increases the permanence of the perfume in direct proportion.
  • Applying body cream/lotion to the skin before using perfume increases the oil level in the skin and thus increases its permanence.
  • Applying it to the areas where the pulse is taken (neck area, inside of the elbows, ankles, behind the knees) is one of the reasons that affects permanence.
  • Keep the perfume away from light, sun and humid environments,
  • For dark skin, use more spicy and woody scents.
  • For white skin, use floral, vanilla, sugar and fresh scents.
